029 STEAM & DIESEL ON THE NEW YORK CENTRAL Volume 2
48 minutes
Donald J. Krofta takes you back to the period of July - December, 1955 when NYC was still running steam on its BIG FOUR Ohio Division. By February of 1956, it would all end and diesels would be ensconced forever. With Niagaras and P&LE Berkshires appearing more and more, this tape takes you back to the final 6 months of steam on the Ohio division, plus it has Don's 1955 trip to St. Louis on which he encountered more NYC steam in Indiana, Illinois, and other steam on the ICRR and C&IM. Mainly classic B&W with many authentic sounds by Jim Hawk.
